A great beginning to an end.

A great beginning to the end of a great event in Ft. Lauderdale Florida.

It’s an exciting time helping a few hundred Independant business owners learn more about how to create freedom of finances and time so they can help others do the same.

The sun is always shinning somewhere it just so happens we caught it coming up on Hollywood Florida this morning.

The Power of a Heartfelt Message

How do you show someone you care in today’s cold internet crazed world of technology?

It’s so easy to get caught up in the cold abyss of emails and texting these days.   It seems that people have lost that personal touch in relaying a message to  someone straight from the heart, so instead it remains unsaid.  The real tragedy is when some one leaves this earth and we didn’t get the chance to tell them how we feel about them.

There is nothing like finding a special note or opening your mailbox to find someone has sent you a card or letter to acknowledge that they care and are thinking of you.  Could you only imagine, how many lives would be changed by a kind word, thought or deed when promptings are acted upon to show kindness or acknowledge someone.

I learned from a mentor of mine that people wear an invisible sign around their neck that says “make me feel good”  “let me know you care” “make me feel important”.

Remember the old slogan “Reach out and touch someone”?  Wake up in the morning and ask…who’s day or life can I impact or change today?

It’s a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

Published on August 20, 2012 by in Posts

Today I sent a wonderful, thoughtful neighbor a message of gratitude!  She covers the shiny silver pop ups on my head every 5 weeks.  No, it wasn’t to tell her thank you for making my hair so beautiful :) …but rather to tell her thanks for being a great sounding board!  She has the remarkable talent of something so rare and hard to find and something so hard to remember to be, and that is the talent of being a terrific listener!

She showed up at my door one evening with a brightly multi-colored bouquet of flowers!  She has been doing my hair for several years now, and we bounce ideas off each other, but more importantly she has been great therapy as we chat about life and the challenges it throws at us.  Her thoughtful gesture of colorful flowers and a hug is more appreciated than she knows!  Neighbors can truly be like family as we grow to love one another through the years.

A simple gesture that brightened my day also assures me we are all in this game called life together and we need to buoy one another up, be great listeners and tell at least one person a day how grateful we are for them :)

I am grateful for her kind gesture and hug!

Simply Grateful,

Lori
