How do you show someone you care in today’s cold internet crazed world of technology?
It’s so easy to get caught up in the cold abyss of emails and texting these days. It seems that people have lost that personal touch in relaying a message to someone straight from the heart, so instead it remains unsaid. The real tragedy is when some one leaves this earth and we didn’t get the chance to tell them how we feel about them.
There is nothing like finding a special note or opening your mailbox to find someone has sent you a card or letter to acknowledge that they care and are thinking of you. Could you only imagine, how many lives would be changed by a kind word, thought or deed when promptings are acted upon to show kindness or acknowledge someone.
I learned from a mentor of mine that people wear an invisible sign around their neck that says “make me feel good” “let me know you care” “make me feel important”.
Remember the old slogan “Reach out and touch someone”? Wake up in the morning and ask…who’s day or life can I impact or change today?
